Digital Holllywood

I was over at Digital Hollywood (brace yourself for a crazy dense site if you click) out in LA today to check out the scene. It seemed like there were multiple sessions all talking about the same few topics:

  • What are you going to do about Tivo and everyone skipping your ads
  • Everything is going mobile.
  • DRM

To be honest a litte dissappointing.

I sat in on a session about Web 2.0 and the funniest thing was that there was a guy from Yahoo, Microsoft, Turner (aka CNN) and Jason Calcanis from AOL. Seems like a little bit of a one sided view of that no? What about some company that people might actually consider a Web 2.0 company?

Sidenote - I find it amusing that at Digital Hollywood they don't have Free Wifi and even the wifi you pay for is horrible. You have to pay for access by the minute!!! How crazy is that? See this list of the worst WiFi hotels, put Loews in Santa Monica on the list!
