I've managed to hit post # 100 so I figure that I should take some time to reflect on the experience.
There was no explicit goal I had in mind when I did 1000flowersbloom (which is actually unlike me). To be honest I started using blogs and wikis last year to get my feet wet and really learn what all the fuss was about. I had been following these technologies pretty closely during my time at Tribe and had set up some blogs and wikis previously but never found the ability to really dive into it.
I think now I do understand the appeal of blogging and the issues surrounding it much better than I did before.
For me, it's really a way for me to write up some ideas that have been kicking around in my head and by putting them down on virtual paper to help crystalize them. I find the act of writing something down a clarifying one. It removes the ambiguity (or exposes it) in my thinking.
My goal is to keep blogging on a (semi) regular basis as we get Aggregate Knowledge off the ground. I'd really love to do a retrospective on the startup experience once we're able to share a little more about what we're up to.
Happy 100!
