Ok so I'm looking to get a new desktop at home so I figure I'll check out the Dell website and see if I can pick something up at a reasonable price.
The experience starts well and they've certainly got great low priced (<$500) options.
But then as I finish the configuration it starts forcing me to look at all these software and hardware add ons. When I say forcing I mean that I can't figure out from their site how to actually hit a buy button without going through many many screens.
Eventually I just gave up.
Ugh. I need to sell my Dell shares.
And people wonder why Dell's star has been falling, and Apple's rising?
I know you're not a Mac guy, but you should visit http://apple.com/store, and take a Macintosh from choosing the one that you want to placing it into your cart. It is *so* much better than the Dell experience, that it isn't even funny.
(And you thought that I confined my Mac snobbery to the office! No!)
